Paul's Blanching Instructions
Using a colander and two pots of boiling water, put one pint of asparagus in first boiling pot for approx. 10 seconds, transfer to second boiling pot until it turns Xmas green,(approx. 10 seconds), remove and put into ice water, then dry and put into freezer bags. Using two boiling pots prevents you from overcooking while blanching.
Quart size freezer bags recommended.
